We are all in rush almost everyday but when was the last time you offered your seat to someone while in a waiting room or at a restaurant or held a door open for those coming and going? Last night my husband and I went out for dinner to one of our favorite sushi haunts and as we were entering he stayed at the door and held it open for the 3 or 4 couples leaving. One of these couples turned and said “Thank You so much, that is so kind”. The others just looked at him and said nothing. The way the woman said thank you was so sincere it really struck that maybe there aren’t that many people out there who offer to hold a door. Strange because I was always brought up to be kind in everything I do. Remeber those days of our parents telling us right from wrong and how to always be polite; well I hope we are all remembering those words our parents told us and that we are passing those lessons on to our youth. I love when a parent tells me my children can come over any time, “they are so polite”. I remind them that no matter where they are they are being observed and to be on their best behavior. Now mind you mine are grown but they do tell me that what I instilled in them is always there. Good luck and be kind to all!
