Lynnell hit the nail on the head, communication is the key to successful real estate transactions. To say that the mortgage markets have changed in the past couple of years would be the understatement of a lifetime, but our business is not “brain surgery”. We may not always have the answers or approvals that an agent wants, but if we are truthful and timely with our communication, and clear about the steps we are taking to solve a problem, deals will close in a timely manner. We took Lynnell’s sale that had been in escrow for two months and closed it in three weeks, from start to finish. There are still a few good lenders out there, but buyers and their agents must do their homework before applying and make sure that the lender that they have chosen…knows what he/she is doing.
